Rise of Discovery arrives on Star Trek Online for PC

May 14, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced that the Rise of Discovery update has arrived for Star Trek Online on PC.  This new update follows the stories of Lorca and Landry before they joined the crew of the U.S.S Discovery and introduces a brand new reputation and a ship system update.  The update is set to arrive on consoles on 25th June. Learn more in the trailer below…

This brand new update will feature two new episodes that will tell the stories of Gabriel Lorca (Jason Isaacs) and Ellen Landry (Rekha Sharma) before they joined the crew of the USS Discovery. These two new episodes are – “The Plausibility of the Possible” that will see players assist the U.S.S Buran against Klingon forces, and “Impossibility of Reason”, players will answer the distress call from the Buran.  Both of these new episodes will feature the voice talents of both Isaacs and Sharma as players set out to ensure the survival of the pair after a Klingon attack.

The new update will introduce Discovery Legends, a new Tier 6 reputation that will allow players to earn Discovery themed rewards by successfully completing Task Force Operations.  Also, level restrictions for Tier 6 starships have been removed so that players of varying experience can command these legendary vessels.

Rise of Discovery update is available for PC now.
