Rumour: We won’t be seeing much of Venom in the Venom movie

March 21, 2018 by Gary Collinson

If you were wondering why we never got to see Venom in all of his symbiote-suit glory in the first trailer for Sony’s Tom Hardy-headlined Spider-Man spinoff, a new rumour doing the rounds may have the answer.

According to Manabyte, for most of the movie, the symbiote will “manifest itself via veins on Brock’s arms, tendrils, additional arms, and a shield during a car chase” and that we only get to see the full Venom suit until the very end of the movie when Hardy’s Eddie Brock battles the main villain.

The report also “confirms” previous rumours of multiple symbiotes and claims there are three in total: Venom, the one the villain uses, and one that kills the first person it bonds with.

Now, this is just a rumour, so as always take it with a pinch of salt. However, in all of the set photos that made their way online, Hardy was never spotted in a motion-capture suit, and so it would not be too much of a surprise if the Venom suit does only make a fleeting appearance…
