According to The Wrap, former Mouseketeer Ryan Gosling is in talks with Disney about joining its upcoming supernatural family adventure Haunted Mansion, which has Guillermo del Toro attached.
The project is based on Disney’s theme-park ride of the same name and has been in development for some time now, with del Toro officially announcing it at the San Diego Comic-Con back in 2010. D.V. DeVincentis (High Fidelity) is currently working on the latest draft of the screenplay, although plot details are being kept firmly under wraps.
Gosling and del Toro have been very friendly as of late; back in February the pair were spotted together enjoying the rides at Disneyland in California , while del Toro also moderated a panel at SXSW last month for Gosling’s directorial debut Lost River.
