Seth Green doesn’t think Marvel will do a Howard the Duck movie

October 9, 2015 by admin

Bad news for those of you who were hoping we’d get another big screen outing for Howard the Duck, as Seth Green (who voiced Howard in the post-credit sequence of Guardians of the Galaxy) has revealed that no one in Marvel has suggested the idea.

“Oh, nobody said anything to me about that,” Green admitted to IGN. “And the truth is, Gunn and I are buddies from Scooby-Doo, so the whole Howard The Duck thing and me getting to be that was like a last-minute who do I know who is in town who can do this V.O. on this day before the color print delivers. …Nobody is thinking about a Howard The Duck movie!”

“The most I could imagine is that character could cameo at some point in some other thing,” he added before speculating he could cameo in a Rocket Raccoon solo movie, should he get one.

Howard the Duck did make a splash as the first Marvel character to get a movie back in 1987 (produced by George Lucas no less), but is widely regarded as one of the worst comic book movies ever made.
