Shadow Fencer Theatre brings shadow puppet fighting to the Xbox One and PC

June 27, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Indie game studio ShuddaHaddaLottaFun has announced the release of their awkward physics sword fighting game, Shadow Fencer Theatre, is now available on Xbox One and PC via Steam.  Unlike other sword fighting games, this latest offering changes things by being set in the world of shadow puppets.

Inspired by one of the oldest forms of storytelling, Shadow Fencer Theatre provides a unique cast of characters that players can use to become the Grandmaster of the theatre.  Players will be able to play solo or battle against a friend in a variety of game modes, including a story mode that will see players fight to keep theshadow puppet theatre in business, Marathon mode sees players survive a gauntlet run, Improv mode has players direct fights with a selection of gameplay variations and finally, Skits Mode featuring a number of mini-games.

“It has been 2+ years in the making and it’s exciting to see our quirky little fighter available to the world. If you told me a few years ago that I’d be releasing a video game about puppets that I made with my best friend, I’d tell you “we’ve never met, so that’s a very weird thing to say to me”.” stated Mikhail Delinois, Co-Owner of ShuddaHaddaLottaFun.

Shadow Fencer Theatre features:

  • 16 unique playable characters, including Robots, Giraffes, Pirates and more.
  • 8 completely different stages.
  • An original soundtrack.

Enjoy all the magic of the shadow puppets with Shadow Fencer Theatre, out now on Xbox One and Steam.
