Snipers vs Thieves celebrates 25 million players with huge update

November 22, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Popular mobile title Snipers vs Thieves has hit 25 million players and to celebrate developer FoxGlove Studios and publisher PlayStack have released a brand new update.  With new modes, weapons and power-ups plus more than 100 additions and improvements, this is the game’s biggest update ever.  Check out the new update trailer below…

This brand new update features more than 100 improvements and fan requested additions and completely reinvents the game with a new single player mode, new weapons, new gadgets and a redesigned interface.

A new single player Horde mode will set players up as a sniper with the aim to take down wave upon wave of AI thieves before they can get to their van.  Other new modes include a Sniper vs Sniper mode that sees players compete to become the most successful shooter, a Thief Race mode that pits thief against thief to race back to the getaway van and a Pro Thief mode that will provide big rewards providing all the crew survive.

New weapons and equipment arrive in the armoury for snipers including:

  • Triggered Explosives: Launch mines onto the path of unsuspecting thieves.
  • Rail Gun: The Rail Gun see and shoot through objects.
  • Air Strike: Time for overkill with the military Air Strike power.
  • Placeable Turrets: Let AI do all the work by affixing auto-aim turrets onto the enemy’s pathway.

Thieves can also join in on the new gear and power ups with:

  • Vampire Run: Allows players to run at exhilarating speed, but it will drain health.
  • Teleport: Select this power-up to safely rematerialise at a nearby cover point of your choosing.
  • Dodge Gadget: Allows players to dodge oncoming fire with godlike reflexes.
  • Buddy Speed: Arm yourself with this power for ultimate shenanigans. Select a thief and freeze them for a few seconds before they break from the ice with an incredible speed boost.

“This huge update is entirely for our fans, and for months we have been obsessed with making sure every player’s request has been listened to. It’s our way of saying thanks for making Snipers vs Thieves such a wonderful game to work on and such an incredible success story so far,” said Jan Lechner, Executive Producer at Foxglove Studios.

Harvey Elliott, Chief Executive at PlayStack, added: “Snipers vs Thieves is immensely fun, easy to enjoy and incredibly popular with stellar ratings from our audience. We are sure that the 25 million players who have already enjoyed the game will love this huge update just as much as we do.“
