Star Trek: Starfleet Academy trailer teases the next generation of Starfleet

As part of its New York Comic Con panel, Paramount has shared a new trailer for the upcoming sci-fi drama series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.

The latest entry in the Star Trek franchise series follows a new class of cadets as they experience new friendships, rivalries, and first loves while navigating academy life while training to become the next generation of Starfleet officers.

The cast includes Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard, Zoë Steiner, Holly Hunter, alongside Star Trek alumni Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman, with guest appearances from Gina Yashere and Paul Giamatti. Watch the trailer below…

This thrilling new chapter follows a fresh class of cadets as they train under the watchful, demanding eyes of Starfleet’s finest. Together, they’ll face the highs and lows of academy life: forging unbreakable friendships, clashing in explosive rivalries, experiencing first loves, and stepping into their destiny as the next generation of Starfleet officers. When a mysterious new enemy threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself, these cadets must rise to the challenge or risk losing everything they’ve just begun to fight for.
