We now have some more news about the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo reboot from Sony Pictures, as the studio has cast Stephen Merchant (Logan) and Norwegian actress Synnøve Macody Lund in the film in unknown roles according to Variety.

The new film sees The Crown’s Claire Foy taking on the role of Lisbeth Salander, with Sverrir Gudnason (Borg/McEnroe) portraying Mikael Blomkvist.

The Girl in the Spider’s Web is based upon David Lagercrantz’s novel, the fourth in the Millennium series and the first not to be penned by the late Stieg Larsson. Also featuring in the cast are Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049) as Lisbeth’s twin sister Camilla, Claes Bang (The Square) as the villain and Cameron Britton (Mindhunter) as a computer expert and associate of Lisbeth.
