The Flash / Supergirl musical crossover casts Glee star Darren Criss as Music Meister

January 23, 2017 by James Garcia

The long-awaited and recently-confirmed musical crossover episode for The Flash and Supergirl has finally cast its villain, the melodic Music Meister, and it’s in the form of a Glee reunion, as  TVLine reports that Darren Criss will be lending his signing chops to the villainous role.

While many fans hoped that Neil Patrick Harris would reprise his Batman: The Brave and the Bold role, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg commented on the now-obvious choice of Criss:

“With our Flash and Supergirl being Glee alums, how could we not have them go up against another Glee favorite like Darren Criss? We’ve been blown away by his talent over the years and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the Music Meister.”

As reported last week, the crossover will air on March 20th and March 21st. Besides Criss, those singing in the episodes will be Grant Gustin, Melissa Benoist, Jesse L. Martin, Legends of Tomorrow‘s Victor Garber, Carlos Valdes, Jeremy Jordan, and Arrow‘s John Barrowman.
