The Mandalorian composer teases that season 2 heads to unexpected places

August 13, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Ludwig Göransson, the composer of The Mandalorian, has teased that season two is heading to some unexpected new places.

While fans know they won’t be getting a new Star Wars movie for a few years, at least we have The Mandalorian to look forward to. Season two is expected this October on Disney+ but we don’t really know much about what to expect.

We assume that the story will pick up with the Mando protecting Baby Yoda and running from Moff Gideon but apart from that there is just a lot of rumour and speculation.

Ludwig Göransson, the composer for the series has been speaking to Deadline, however, and has teased fans with what might be coming their way. Without giving anything away, Göransson said: “We started a couple of months ago, and I’m extremely excited. Jon’s taking the story into places that I didn’t know existed, and I think it’s so fun.”

If season two is really going to differentiate itself from season one, it’s going to be interesting to find out how. There are reports of Ahsoka Tano turning up in her live-action debut and even rumours about Boba Fett. It should be a fun ride whatever happens!

The Mandalorian season two is set to premiere in October 2020 and sees the returning Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) and Bill Burr (Mayfield) alongside new cast additions Rosario Dawson (Daredevil), Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones), Katee Sackhoff (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Timothy Olyphant (Justified) and Michael Biehn (The Terminator).
