Thor: Love and Thunder to be co-written by Someone Great’s Jennifer Kaytin Robinson

February 11, 2020 by Ricky Church

According to Variety, Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi, fresh off his Academy Award for writing JoJo Rabbit, has enlisted Jennifer Kaytin Robinson to co-write the upcoming Marvel film.

Robinson wrote and directed the comedy Someone Great for Netflix last year. She will work with Waititi on the script for Love & Thunder before the film enters production in August.

The sequel will reunite Thor: Ragnarok director Waititi with stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), while Natalie Portman also reprises her role from Thor and Thor: The Dark World as Jane Foster who, as Waititi revealed at last year’s Comic Con, will become The Mighty Thor after being deemed worthy of Thor’s powers, much like the recent comics. Waititi will also be back as the fan-favourite Korg.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on November 5th, 2021.
