…Turning to the small screen now and you can read Martin Carr’s review of Monday’s sixth episode of Supergirl ‘Midvale’ here, while we also have a trailer, promo and images for the seventh episode ‘Wake Up’ [see here and here], as well as a synopsis for the ninth episode ‘Reign’ [read it here]…

…Jessie Robertson has reviewed Tuesdays’ episode of The Flash ‘When Harry Met Harry’, while fans may also want to take a look at a trailer, promo and images for this coming week’s seventh episode ‘Therefore I Am’ [check them out here and here], along with a promo for episode nine ‘Don’t Run’ featuring the return of Katee Sackhoff’s Amunet [see here]…

…We’ll have a review of Arrow up soon, but in the meantime you can take a look at a promo for the seventh episode ‘Thanksgiving’ featuring the return of Black Siren here, and we also have a synopsis for the ninth episode ‘Irreconcilable’ here. Meanwhile, Stephen Amell also spoke about Arrow name-dropping Bruce Wayne earlier in the season, explaining how it was his idea and that he pitched the higher ups at Warner Bros. and DC; read his comments here…

…The annual CW crossover is set to take place at the end of this month as the heroes of the Arrowverse join forces for ‘Crisis on Earth X’, and you can watch a brief new promo for the two-night event here., while we also have promotional images for the Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow episodes..

…The CW’s latest DC superhero show will get underway this January, with the network announcing that Black Lightning is set to premiere on on January 16th at 9PM, taking the place of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow which will be on a midseason break until February (presumably Legends will find itself in a different slow when it returns for the second half of its season)…

…Fox has released a new trailer for the fourth season of Gotham focussing on Professor Pyg’s reign of terror [watch it here], while you can read Martin Carr’s review of ‘Let Them Eat Pie’ here, and we also have a promo for the next episode ‘Things That Go Boom’ [see here]…

…Warner Bros. has announced that the DC Universe Animated Original Movies adaptation of Batman: Gotham By Gaslight is set for release on Digital starting January 23rd, 2018, and on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD February 6th, 2018. This week brought us a trailer for the animated feature [watch it  here], as well as a synopsis and details of the cast and Blu-ray bonus features [see here]…

…LEGO and/or Batman fans may be interested in taking a look at the latest wave of upcoming tie-in sets to The LEGO Batman Movie featuring The Bat-Space Shuttle, The Bat-Dune Buggy, The Justice League Anniversary Party, Egghead Mech Food Fight, and Harley Quinn Cannonball Attack, all of which will go on sale in January. Meanwhile, we’re also getting a second wave of Batman Collectible Minifigures, and you can check out a list of the characters set to be included here…

…Moving on to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Thor: Ragnarok made it two weeks in a row at the top of the U.S. box office last weekend, with the Taika Waititi-directed threequel pushed its global box office beyond the $650 million mark, overtaking Thor: The Dark World’s $644.6 million to make it the God of Thunder’s highest-grossing solo movie. Meanwhile, screenwriter Eric Pearson has revealed that the initial plan for the movie was to feature a romance between Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie; you can read Pearson’s comments about why they opted to go down a different route here…

…With his latest film Murder on the Orient Express losing out to Thor: Ragnarok at the U.S. box office last weekend, director Kenneth Branagh took a moment to reflect on his own Thor movie, discussing the pressures that it faced back in 2011: “Remember, there were only two pictures in the Marvel Universe. Iron Man, genius, the first one. Hulk hadn’t worked as they’d hoped. And then number three, it was sink or swim before Captain America and then suddenly, oh, it was fine after that. No question that Kevin Feige used to say to me, ‘This is the single most difficult tonal challenge for us, to make this movie work in itself and fit into this larger universe.’ In fact, I think Thor, and in Chris Hemsworth’s performance, becomes an absolutely integral part…”
