Will Ferrell and Adam McKay producing new Flintstones movie

May 8, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Warner Bros. is bringing The Flintstones back to the big screen, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are executive producing a feature-length animated movie through their Gary Sanchez Productions company, with Chris Henchy (The Campaign) penning the script.

As it happens, this isn’t the only Flintstones movie in the works at Warner Bros., with the studio also tagging up with WWE Studios on a direct-to-video animated feature which sees Fred and Barney attending a prehistoric WrestleMania event featuring Vince Magma (Vince McMahon), John Cenastone (John Cena) and CM Punkrock (CM Punk) and is set to hit shelves next year.
