Zendaya felt “honored” and “flattered” that Vivica A. Fox endorsed her for Kill Bill Vol. 3

September 9, 2020 by Liam Waddington

Earlier this year, Kill Bill star Vivica A. Fox, who played Vernita Green a.k.a. Copperhead, revealed that she would like to see Zendaya take over the role of her daughter from original star Ambrosia Kelly if a third film was to happen.

Now, in an interview with Empire, Zendaya responded to the endorsement by Vivica A. Fox, stating that she was “honored” and “flattered” that the actress would think of her.

“I saw that! I was quite honored that she would say that,” she said.”Obviously she’s incredible and I’m very flattered that she would think of me. You know, it’s just an idea. The internet kinda takes things and run with it.”

Despite her character meeting her demise in the opening sequence of Kill Bill Vol. 1 at the hands of Uma Thurman’s Beatrix Kiddo, Fox has also previously stated that if Tarantino were to make the third instalment in the series, she would hope to be involved in a flashback sequence and see her character’s daughter get revenge.

While director Quentin Tarantino has announced that Kill Bill Vol. 3 is still on the table and he has an idea on how to continue The Bride’s story following the death of Bill in the second instalment, there has been no official confirmation if the directors’ tenth film will be a third Kill Bill film.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2, which were released in 2003 and 2004 respectively, follows Uma Thurman as the Bride, who starts a campaign of revenge against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and their leader Bill (David Carradine), who tried to kill her and her unborn child.

Do you think Zendaya should take over the role? Would you like to see Tarantino direct the third instalment in the Kill Bill franchise? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter @flickeringmyth…
