Back in February it was announced that Netflix has given a two-season straight-to-series order to The Politician, a new music-driven comedy series from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and their Glee co-creator Ian Brennan, and now we have word on four additions to the cast.
According to Variety, Zoey Deutch (Everybody Wants Some!!), Lucy Boynton (Sing Street), Laura Dreyfuss (Glee) and newcomer Rahne Jones have joined the previously announced Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen) as series regulars, although details of their roles are being kept under wraps.
The Politician “revolves around the politician aspirations of Platt’s Payton, a wealthy Santa Barbarian, and every season will revolve around a different political race his character is involved in.”
Filming on The Politician is due to begin later this summer.
