Charlize Theron says Mad Max: Fury Road sequel is “news to me”

August 6, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Back in May following the premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road, director George Miller revealed that he’s already completed the script for the next instalment in the post-apocalyptic action franchise, which is going by the title of Mad Max: The Wasteland.

We already know that Tom Hardy is signed on to return as Max Rockatansky in the follow-up (as well as a further two movies), but it seems that Charlize Theron is yet to hear about the next movie, with the actress offering up a brief response when asked about The Wasteland by USA Today:

“What’s Wasteland? This is all news to me. I have not heard anything like that.”

SEE ALSO: George Miller wanted Heath Ledger for Mad Max: Fury Road

Of course, given that Warner Bros. is yet to green light the next movie, it’s not too surprising that Charlize Theron is yet to sign on for The Wasteland, but would you be disappointed if Furiosa is absent from Max’s next outing? Let us know in the comments below…
