Rumuor: Warner Bros. narrows director search on Justice League Dark

November 19, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Originally published November 19, 2015. Updated April 14, 2018.

Over the past few days we’ve heard several casting rumours for Warner Bros.’ supernatural DC ensemble Justice League Dark, with Ben Mendelsohn tipped for the villain Anton Arcane and Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor, Ron Perlman and Monica Bellucci said to be up for the roles of Constantine, Etrigan the Demon, Swamp Thing and Madame Xanadu.

Now Joblo has chimed in with its own report, claiming that the studio has narrowed its search for a director on the project following Guillermo del Toro’s departure, with Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead) and Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado (Big Bad Wolves) said to be in contention.

As yet, Justice League Dark has not been officially announced by Warner Bros., but it’s said that the studio is keen to go into production in 2016.
