Sylvester Stallone confirms The Expendables 4, promises “something different”

January 3, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Just before Christmas it was reported that The Expendables 4 had been given the green light, and will bring the curtain down on the action ensemble series when it opens around the globe in 2018.

Well, Sylvester Stallone has now confirmed his return as Barney Ross for the fourth and final instalment, providing a brief update on Facebookand stating that he’s beginning to work out for “the next Expendables, [which is] gonna be great, fingers crossed! We’re gonna do our best and I think we’ve got some really great attitude going, some great ideas. I think everyone’s expecting something different and we’re gonna give it to ’em.”

At the moment, details on The Expendables 4 are scarce, but we can probably assume that Stallone will be involved with the script, and possibly even direct as he did with the first movie. As for casting, we should probably expect most, if not all, of the core team (Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture and Jet Li) to be back, along with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes and possibly even Ronda Rousey.

And how about the long-rumoured Steven Seagal?

Who would you like to see in the “final” Expendables movie? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
