Sony looking to shoot Morbius, the Living Vampire in Atlanta this year

September 9, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Having brought on board Oscar winner and Suicide Squad star Jared Leto for the title role back in June, it now looks like Sony is readying its Spider-Man spinoff Morbius, the Living Vampire to go into production this year.

According to Geeks Worldwide, the studio is looking to shoot the Marvel movie in Atlanta, Georgia (following in the footsteps of both Spider-Man: Homecoming and the upcoming Venom), and may well aim to begin principal photography in November.

Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) is attached to direct Morbius, which is one of a number of potential Spider-Man spinoff projects in the works at Sony alongside the likes of Black Cat, Silver Sable, Kraven the Hunter, Silk, Nightwatch, and Jackpot. First up however is Venom, which opens on October 5th.
