The Expanse season 4 adds Keon Alexander and Jess Salgueiro, Rosa Gilmore’s role revealed

February 26, 2019 by Ricky Church

With the fourth season of The Expanse having wrapped production recently, Amazon has revealed additional casting info as well as details on the character that Rosa Gilmore (The Handmaid’s Tale) – who was announced to have joined the series a few weeks ago – will be playing.

Joining The Expanse are Keon Alexander (Tyrant) and Jess Salgueiro (The Boys) in recurring roles. Alexander plays a wily and charismatic Belter faction leader while Salgueiro portrays a cynical corporate security officer.

Meanwhile, Gilmore’s character has been revealed to be Lucia Mazur, one of the Belter refugees who have staked their claim to a new Earth-like planet on the other side of the Ring Gates. Trained as a medic, Lucia doesn’t hesitate to help friend and foe alike when disaster strikes.

The new season will see the return of cast members Steven Strait, Cas Anvar, Dominique Tipper, Wes Chatham, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Frankie Adams.

The series ran for three seasons on SyFy before being cancelled last year, but Amazon quickly stepped in and picked it up for a fourth season. As yet, there’s no word as to when we can expect season four of The Expanse to arrive, but we’ll keep you posted on any developments.
