Computer-generated imagery, or CGI, has gotten a bad rep these days from film school dropout channels that believe the older way of creating is inherently better. No matter the flaws in their arguments, though, they do raise a point that, without proper rendering, CGI has a greater chance of aging poorly compared to a practical effect, which can last longer through its realistic concoction.
