Cyberpunk RPG The Ascent arrives on Playstation 4 & 5

March 24, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Curve Games and developer Neon Giant have announced the release of their cyberpunk action RPG The Ascent on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.  This release of the game includes all the previous content added to other platforms since its initial release and the PS5 version has features that take advantage of the DualSense Controller.  A new launch trailer can be seen below….

The Ascent’s cyberpunk sci-fi world of Veles is one of violence and intrigue where players will need to fight their way through street gangs, mutants and seedy organisations that are all striving for power.

As well as all previous content added to other editions of the game, such as Photo Mode, New Game+, Transmogrification and free DLC with weapons etc, the new Playstation version of the game is enhanced thanks to the DualSense Controller.

  • Thanks to Haptic Feedback, each interaction and battle in The Ascent is enhanced.  Each type of movement players make will provide a different sensation, whether it’s shooting, dodging, sneaking.  Not only that, each gun will feel unique in players’ hands.
  • The DualSense Controller Speaker will provide another level of sound within the game.  Players will be able to enjoy the sound of health packs dropping and adverts playing as they roam the neon lit streets from the controller speaker.
  • PlayStation 5’s hardware means The Ascent provides 4K 60 FPS, so players can experience Veles in high definition.

Tor Frick, Creative Director and fellow co-founder of Neon Giant added: “We’re really excited to be able to now share the world of Veles with PlayStation players and grow our amazing community. It’s been over half a year since the original release of The Ascent, and all Playstation versions of the game will be getting all the quality of life improvements we’ve made in The Ascent since then. We can’t wait to see what PlayStation players think of The Ascent!”

The Ascent is available for the Playstation 4 and 5 now.
