Traffic Cop VR arrives this month on HTC Vive

May 20, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Brian Bobik have partnered up with Waden Kane Game Studios to bring their new title Traffic Cop VR to the HTC Vive later this month.  This comical title will require excellent time management, critical thinking and strategy if you are to survive the busiest intersections and unpredictable drivers.  The trailer below shows what can be expected for those on traffic duty…

Directing traffic in the 1950s was a tough job and more than likely a very boring one.  Fortunately, with Traffic Cop VR players will experience all the fun of the job with all the boring bits taken out.  Not only will players move traffic along efficiently and chuck the book at speeding motorists but they will also be required to stop the occasional giant bird infestation or alien attack in the unlockable mini games.

Traffic Cop VR features:

  • Direct traffic in the city’s busiest intersection and keep the cars moving.
  • Take strategic action when cars move at different speeds to avoid collisions.
  • Survive unpredictable drivers as they speed through intersections.
  • Dodge incoming food thrown by raging roadsters or catch it and throw it back!
  • Unlock mini-games and protect the citizens from an alien attack, giant bird infestation or uniform staining hooligans.
  • Wield your trusty ray gun, or take aim with the slingshot.

“Traffic Cop VR is a silly idea that popped into my head while sitting at a red light. I had just found out that the most popular VR game was called Job Simulator. I joked to my girlfriend, ‘If a game based in a cube farm was so much fun, what could be more ridiculous than that?…..being a Traffic Cop!’ Within an hour, I was making a list of game play and on the hunt for a developer,” said Brian Bobik.

Traffic Cop VR will be available for the HTC Vive later in May with Oculus and PSVR versions on the horizon.
