Norman Reedus talks Andrew Lincoln’s final ever The Walking Dead scene

October 31, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Norman Reedus, one of the stars of The Walking Dead, has discussed the final ever scene that Andrew Lincoln shot for the show.

News that Andrew Lincoln and his character Rick were leaving AMC’s The Walking Dead certainly surprised fans, with many wondering what the show would be like without its star.

Lincoln has now finished filming for the show and his former co-star Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, has spoken to EW about the scene:

“The very last scene that we shot, he’s supposed to smile. He was supposed to smile, and it was a close-up. So I kept sneaking in and tickling his feet and making him smile on this one line. And I thought it was funny. And he liked it. He kept asking me to keep doing it. So the last scene that he shot on this show, I’m below camera tickling his feet.”

While Lincoln’s last moments on set as an actor were surely sad ones, it’s nice to know that he and his colleagues found reasons to smile and enjoy the moment.
