Underworld Ascendant now available on Steam

November 16, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Underworld Ascendant, the fan funded action RPG from 505 Games and indie developer OtherSide Entertainment, is now available on Steam for PC.  Those who purchase the game before 21st November will receive three in-game bonus items, including a Vorpa companion creature, Mana Leech companion creature and a map of the Stygian Abyss.

Underworld Ascendant takes players back to the Stygian Abyss to take the role of ‘The Ascendant’, a being summoned by a mysterious figure called Cabirus, and defeat the beast known as Typhon.  In order to defeat Typhon, players will need to overcome challenges, earn the trust of various factions and uncover the lost secrets of the abyss.  Players will have access to a variety of items, skills and abilities that can be mixed and matched to their own playstyle.

Various dangerous creatures, including Lizard Men, Outcasts and Mind Cripplers will attempt to waylay the Ascendant as players travel through a dungeon environment that reacts dynamically to their choices.

This action RPG will feature:

  • An immersive world that rewards creative experimentation.  Players will be able to interact with plantlife and physics based traps as well as a variety of creatures.
  • An epic storyline that sees rival factions fight for domination.
  • A world where every decision has a unique consequence on events and the game world.
  • Mix and match combat, magic and stealth abilities to create a hero of your own.
  • Experiment with a wide array of skills and magic using the Improvisation Engine to stack the odds in your favor.
  • An ever evolving environment to explore and a wide variety of quests to complete.
  • Earn rewards and unlock skills through good performance and solving problems creatively.

Underworld Ascendant is available now.
