Team17 reveals Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

June 7, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Publisher Team17 and developer Playtonic Games have announced a follow-up to the popular 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee, titled Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. You can watch the announcement trailer here…

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair follows on from the events of the first game, but it’s not a 3D platformer, instead it is a 2.5D platformer in a 3D overworld.

Here’s the official blurb from the Team17 website:

“Yooka and Laylee must combine their abilities to take on a series of challenging and vibrant side-scrolling levels, as well as explore and solve puzzles in the beautiful overworld. It’s on to them to rescue Queen Phoebee’s Royal Beettalion Guard and prepare to take on Capital B’s most dastardly challenge yet in this brand new platforming adventure hybrid.”

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is set for a 2019 release (no exact date as of yet) for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
