First look at Tom Holland in the Russo brothers’ next film Cherry

November 2, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Tom Holland has taken to Instagram to share a first-look image from his new film Cherry, which reunites the Spider-Man star with his Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo.

The Russos’ first film following the record-breaking success of Avengers: Endgame, Cherry is based upon the true story of Nico Walker and sees Holland portraying an Iraq War veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder who becomes a serial bank robber in order to pay his medical bills.

Joining Holland in the cast of Cherry are Bill Skarsgard (It), Jack Reynor (Midsommar), Michael Gandolfini (The Deuce), Jeff Wahlberg (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) and Ciara Bravo (Into the Dark).
