Update 0.9.1 brings more British ships to World of Warships

February 12, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Update 0.9.1 has arrived for World of Warships and sees further expansion of the British Royal Navy with the addition of more heavy cruisers. These new ships are accompanied by the addition of a new highly decorated commander, a new map and much more.  Dasha Perova provides all the info in the trailer below…

The highly decorated Andrew Cunningham is a brand new historical commander to make it on to World of Warships’s roster.  Under his command, the Royal navy was able to save 16,500 men during the Axis’ invasion of Crete in May 1941.  During his career he was awarded more than twenty decorations for his bravery and determination to fight against the oppressive forces of Nazi Germany.  Cunningham is the ideal commander for players who want to increase the speed of their ships or reduce the reload time of the ship’s main battery guns and torpedo launchers.  He also has the ability to increase the number of consumable charges of the ship by one when destroying two enemy ships.  For those wanting to get their hands on this valuable addition, he can be obtained from the Armoury in exchange for the new temporary resource, Royal Tokens.  These can be gained from Daily shipments or for completing Daily Missions and the four new Directives.

Six new British heavy cruisers in Tiers V-X make their debut on the high seas.  These new ships include, the Hawkins (Tier V), Devonshire (Tier VI), Surrey (Tier VII), Albemarle (Tier VIII), Drake (Tier IX), and the Goliath (Tier X).  As well as these, there’s also the brand-new premium cruiser London (Tier VI), which will be available to those who finish four Directives.

The new update sees the arrival of a new Ranked Battles Season focused on Tier X ships of all types in 7v7 battles.  Players will be able to fight over the new “Northern Waters” map which was designed for Tier VIII–X battles in the Epicenter and Domination modes.

Try out these new heavy cruisers now.
