San Diego Comic-Con@Home line-up revealed

July 10, 2020 by Gary Collinson

With this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International cancelled due to the public health crisis, the organisers are taking the world’s biggest pop culture event online this month with Comic-Con@Home, and in partnership with IGN, the virtual fan festival is set to include a host of live streams along with exclusive interviews and other programming.

“It has been a learning and growing experience for all of us, having to shift to a fully-digital event this year,” said David Glanzer, Chief Communications and Strategy Officer of Comic-Con International. “IGN completely stepped up and has helped us navigate and finalize this new approach to ensuring our programming goes off without a hitch, is interactive and engaging, and can be seen by everyone — they have knocked it out of the park and I can’t wait for fans to see it come to life!”

“We know this world inside and out, so to have the chance to collaborate with San Diego Comic-Con to bring their programming to a huge online audience was such a natural fit,” said Terri Schwartz, Director of Content Strategy and Partnerships at IGN. “We’re thrilled to continue to bring what we do best to the Comic-Con circuit, albeit under very different circumstances than previous years.”

Among the panels announced for the event are the movies Bill & Ted Face the Music, Antlers and Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe, while on the television side of things there’s Star Trek, His Dark Materials, The Boys, The Blacklist, Van Helsing, Lovecraft Country, The Right Stuff, Helstrom, The Walking Dead, Archer, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, American Dad!, Family Guy, and Looney Tunes Cartoons. You can check out the full schedule here.

Comic-Con@Home is set to run between Wednesday July 22nd and Sunday July 26th.
