Deadline is reporting that Brendan Gleeson (Suffragette) has signed on to appear in Live By Night, the currently in production Prohibition-era drama from director Ben Affleck.

Based on the book by Dennis Lehane, Live By Night sees Affleck starring as Joe Coughlin, the youngest son of a prominent Boston police captain (Gleeson), who sets out to make his mark on the world of organized crime.
Live By Night is set for release in 2017, with a cast that also includes Scott Eastwood, Elle Fanning, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana, Chris Messina, Anthony Michael Hall and Chris Cooper.
