Andrew Garfield says “I did not get a call” for Spider-Man: No Way Home

May 5, 2021 by EJ Moreno

Another week, another Spider-Man shutting down upcoming movie rumors. The latest web-slinger to open up about the mysterious Spider-Man: No Way Home reports is Andrew Garfield.

Garfield, who portrayed Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man and its 2014 sequel, recently spoke to the HappySadConfused podcast about his upcoming Gia Coppolla film, Mainstream. During the interview, host Josh Horowitz made the bold move to straight-up ask Garfield about his rumored involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The actor, playing it coy yet cracking up, gave this as his reply: “There’s nothing to ruin! … Listen, I can’t speak for anyone else but for myself. Like, they might be doing something. But I ain’t got a call. … I did not get a call. Listen, I would have gotten a call by now; that’s all I’m saying.”

If you want to take his word for it, it seems like he won’t be appearing. But sightings of his stunt double on-set and with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 villain Electro confirmed to be appearing, we’ll just have to wait and see.
