DRIFT21 leaves Early Access for full release on Steam

June 10, 2021 by Andrew Newton

505 Games and developer ECC Games have announced that their drift racing simulation game Drift21 has left Early Access and fully launched on Steam for PC.  After a successful period in Early Access the developers have listened to feedback from the drifting community and drift racing fans to create a game featuring all the thrills of real drifting racing.  A new release trailer can be seen below…

Drifting racing was once an illegal, yet very popular, sport on the streets of Japan that has grown in popularity across the globe. Over the years it has gained a popular following of fans, there’s sanctioned racers in multiple countries, including UK, USA and Japan, and the drivers often push their cars (as well as themselves) to the absolute limits to drift at speed while maintaining control.

In Drift21 players can choose from 12 fully licensed cars and tune every part of the engine to so it matches their driving style and the tracks that are being raced on.  Once the cars have been tuned to within an inch of perfection it is time to take them on the official EBISU racing circuits in one of seven challenging single player modes, including career, quick race and time attack.  Those who prefer not to race solo can test their skills against others in 5  multiplayer modes.

Featuring:

  • 12 fully licensed cars to choose from, including the Mazda MX5, Subaru BRZ, BMW E46 M3 and the Nissan 350Z.
  • Customise your cars in the garage mode with over 1900 parts to tune and extensive paint shop and decal options.
  • Test your drifting racing skills on 8 of Japan’s legendary EBISU circuits including Driftland, Minami and Touge, Koszalin in Poland plus many more.
  • race in 7 single player modes or take on other racers from around the world in 5 head-to-head multiplayer events like Free For All, Sprints and Tandem.
  • Enhanced driving and collision physics adding new levels of realism to the drifting experience.
  • Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud Saves, new progression-like mechanics and garage challenges.

Drift21 is available on Steam now with a limited time special discount.
