Director Ari Aster’s next film, Disappointment Blvd., has announced four new additions to its cast in Amy Ryan (Only Murders in the Building), Kylie Rogers (Cheaper by the Dozen), Nathan Lane (Penny Dreadful: City of Angels) and Patti LuPone (Company).
They will join Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) in the cast of the Midsommar and Hereditary director’s next film. While plot details are being kept under wraps, the film has been described as “an intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.”
In addition to directing, Aster has written the script for Disappointment Blvd. and will also produce with Lars Knudsen who is behind other A24 projects, including The Witch, American Honey as well as Robert Eggers’ upcoming Viking epic The Northman.
