Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam revealed in behind-the-scenes images

December 8, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

We got a peek at the title character with a DC FanDome teaser back in October, and now we have our clearest look yet at Dwayne Johnson’s Teth-Adam in full costume from next year’s DC Comics adaptation Black Adam thanks to three behind-the-scenes images released via Total Film.

“[Black Adam] is a bad motherfucker,” Johnson tells the outlet. “There was always something unique, different about Black Adam. He was a villain, an antihero, depending on your interpretation of what a villain is. I loved this idea that his pain and rage comes from loss, and was fuelled by oppression. And at some point, he refused to be held down any more. If you wrong him, his family, or his people, then you will die. Period. That is just that simple.”

Check out the behind-the-scenes images here…

Black Adam is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) and sees Dwayne Johnson starring alongside Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz and Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui and Uli Latukefu in as-yet-unrevealed roles.

Black Adam is set for release on July 29th, 2022.
