The Munsters poster introduces Rob Zombie’s Herman, Lily and Grandpa

July 8, 2022 by Gary Collinson

After tackling Michael Myers with his Halloween films, Rob Zombie is bringing another iconic horror-tinged property back to the big screen this year with his feature reboot of the classic American sitcom The Munsters.

Last month we got our first look the movie with the arrival of first teaser trailer, and now Universal has shared a poster for the film which features Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily, and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa; check it out here…

Given Zombie’s hard-R tendencies with the likes of House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects and the aforementioned Halloween reboot films, the rocker may not seem the most obvious choice to bring The Munsters back to life; however, Zombie a huge fan of the original series, and has promised that the movie will be ” 100 percent in the spirit of the show” – as well as having a family friendly PG rating.

The Munsters features a cast that includes Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa, Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Sylvester McCoy as Igor, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp, Jorge Garcia as Floop and Cassandra Peterson as Barbara Carr.

The Munsters is set for release later this year.
