Geralt and Yennefer come to the aid of Ciri in The Witcher season 3 clip

June 18, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

With less than two weeks to go until The Witcher returns for its third season, a new clip was released during Netflix’s TUDUM event yesterday, which sees Yennefer of Vengerber (Anya Chalotra) and Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) coming to the aid of Cirilla of Cintra (Freya Allan) after she is ambushed by Jaskier (Joey Batey) and his friends, ensuing in a bloody battle; watch it below…

As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.

Returning cast members for season three of The Witcher include Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, MyAnna Buring, Tom Canton, Jeremy Crawford, Eamon Farren, Mahesh Jadu, Terence Maynard, Lars Mikkelsen, Mimî M Khayisa, Royce Pierreson, Wilson Mbomio, Anna Shaffer, Therica Wilson-Read, Cassie Clare, Mecia Simson, Graham McTavish, Bart Edwards, Simon Callow, Liz Carr, Ed Birch and Kaine Zajaz. alongside series newcomers Robbie Amell,  Meng’er Zhang, Hugh Skinner, and Christelle Elwin.

The Witcher Season 3 Volume 1 will premiere June 29th with Volume 2 on July 27th.
