Deadpool & Wolverine looking at massive $360 million global opening

July 24, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Deadpool & Wolverine promised to bring in the big bucks, and now we have an estimate on what to expect.

Deadline reports the film is looking at an impressive opening, around $360 million in total. The outlet estimates the film’s start at roughly $160-170 million domestic and $180-190 million international.

That would also make the third Deadpool film the biggest R-rated opening of all time domestically, overtaking the first Deadpool‘s $132.4 million debut in 2016.

We’ll see how the weekend goes, as Deadpool & Wolverine has a staggered rollout. The film rolls out in all international markets this Wednesday, starting with France, Germany, Italy, Korea, and Japan. It will be followed by Spain, Brazil, the UK, Mexico, and Australia on Thursday and China on Friday.

“Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.”

Deadpool & Wolverine is directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy) and stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman alongside Fox/Marvel veterans Jennifer Garner (Elektra), Stefan Kapacic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), Lewis Tan (Shatterstar), Rob Delaney (Peter), Aaron Stanford (Pyro), and Tyler Mane (Sabretooth) with new additions including Matthew Macfadyen (Succession) as Paradox and Emma Corrin (The Crown) as Cassandra Nova.
