Zachary Quinto leads Brilliant Minds medical drama in first trailer

August 7, 2024 by Ricky Church

NBC has released the first trailer for Brilliant Minds, a new medical drama led by Star Trek and Heroes actor Zachary Quinto. The series is set to premiere September 23rd on NBC and be available to stream on Peacock the following day.

Brilliant Minds is based on the life of neurologist Oliver Sacks and his advancements in the medical field. It specifically is based on two of Sacks’ books, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and An Anthropologist on Mars. Watch the trailer below…

Inspired by Oliver Sacks’ extraordinary life and work, the series follows revolutionary, larger-than-life neurologist Oliver Wolf (Quinto) and his team of interns as they explore the last great frontier – the human mind – while also grappling with their own relationships and mental health.

Starring alongside Quinto are Tamberla Perry (They Cloned Tyrone), Ashleigh LaThrop (The Handmaid’s Tale), Alexander MacNicoll (13 Reasons Why), Aury Krebs (Triple Threat), Spence Moore II (Superman & Lois), Teddy Sears (The Flash), Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), Steve Howey (Shameless) and André De Shields (The Instigators).

Brilliant Minds is created by Michael Grassi, who is serving as writer and executive producer, with Lee Toland Krieger directing and also executive producing. Greg Berlanti also serves as an executive producer.

Brilliant Minds will premiere on September 23rd.
