Amazon’s Vikings comes to World of Tanks

November 7, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Wargaming will be unleashing their inner viking in World of Tanks this Thursday as they send players on a 2 week special Battle Pass inspired by the popular Vikings TV series.  There will be iconic characters to battle alongside as they fight their way to claim the ultimate prize.  Watch the new trailer below…

Players will have a mere two weeks in which to bring honour to their ancestors and recruit fan-favourite characters Ragnar Lothbrok, Bjorn Ironside and Ivar the Boneless, who will speak words of courage and wisdom as their tank… sorry, iron war chariot destroys enemy after enemy.  Lagertha and Floki are additional commanders that can be purchased in the in-game store, for those who want to complete their collection of Vikings characters.

The ultimate prize of the Battle Pass is the Felice Tier IX Premium Tank, which is in the exclusive ‘Westward Bound’ 3D style, drawing inspiration from early medieval Scandinavian culture and elements from the Vikings TV show.

Parts of the tank that may be recognisable to fans of the show are the Viking shields on its support rollers and side screens,Ragnar Lothbrok’s axe, Carolingian sword, Ragnar Lothbrok’s flag and a Viking compass. Players may also notice Odin keeping an eye on them with a lone raven that flies overhead.

The Battle Pass also includes a number of Vikings-inspired 2D styles that players can use on their tanks, these include one inspired by Lagertha’s iconic shield, another as a set of mystical stone runes and finally a Jormungandr style with an intricate decorative pattern.

Unleash the Viking within you and sign in to World of Tanks from November 7th.
