Marvel Games and NetEase Games have announced they will be releasing a new Winter Soldier Thunderbolts costume for their super hero team-based PVP shooter Marvel Rivals on 2nd May 3am BST (1st May 7pm PT). They’ve also revealed that the Hellfire Gala: Moments in-game event will go live tomorrow morning (10am BST/2am PT) that will give players the chance to win a free costume. The new Winter Soldier Thunderbolts costume will be available from the in-game store and will enable Bucky Barnes to unleash his potential. This new outfit has been inspired by the new Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* film arriving in cinemas [read our review here].
With the Hellfire Gala: Moments event, players can revel in the glitz and glamour of Krakoa as mutants, humans and legends gather to enjoy the celebrations. However, an unknown energy threatens to destroy the island’s heart and it’s up to players to determine its fate.
During this event, players will be able to explore iconic spots across Krakoa, take part in a variety of missions and earn in-game rewards, including exclusive Wolverine – Patch Costume.
Players can also join the Gala Star Vote and cast their vote up to 10 times to create a custom Gallery Card. The hero with the most votes will be awarded a new Hellfire costume that will be available for free during next year’s Hellfire event.
