Emma Stone could be a dangerous alien in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia trailer

Coinciding with its world premiere today at the Venice international Film Festival, a new trailer has arrived online for Bugonia, director Yorgos Lanthimos’ remake of Jang Joon-hwan’s 2003 South Korean feature Save the Green Planet!

The sci-fi comedy thriller reunites Lanthimos with The Favourite, Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness star Emma Stone who plays Michelle, a high-powered CEO who is kidnapped and held captive by two men who are convinced she’s a dangerous extra-terrestrial.

Joining Stone in the cast are Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone. Check out the trailer below…

Two conspiracy obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.

Bugonia arrives in cinemas on October 24th.
