Amazon MGM Studios has debuted the first trailer for director Kyle Balda’s upcoming mystery comedy The Sheep Detectives.
Based on Leonie Swann’s novel Three Bags Full, the film stars Hugh Jackman as George, a shepherd who enjoys reading mystery novels to his flock. But when a shocking incident takes place at the farm, the sheep set out to solve the crime themselves.
The cast includes Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, and Rhys Darby. Watch the trailer below…
In this witty, new breed of mystery, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.
The Sheep Detectives arrives in cinemas on May 8th.
