Scripted by Tim Foley, The Ninth Doctor Adventures: Dark Tides takes the TARDIS far away from Earth, to where a long-lost ship, the Vesterbold, has returned to normal space from the region at the edge of the universe called Dark Tides. Joining the Knights of Atlas on their expedition into this unusual mapping vessel, the team soon discovers Dr Vivian Rest, a mysterious survivor. But there’s something on board that shouldn’t be there, and not even the bravest of the knights is prepared to face the evil that awaits them.
Joining Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper in Dark Tides are Doon Mackichan as the mysterious Dr Vivian Rest, Ben Arogundade as the knights’ determined leader Sir Cal, Sam Stafford as his nervy squire Mervyn, and David Shaw-Parker as the wise man Holbrook.
