Chris O’Dowd and Zhang Ziyi join the J.J. Abrams-produced God Particle

Casting continues on Bad Robot Productions’ sci-fi thriller God Particle, with Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids) and Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) signing on to appear in the J.J. Abrams-produced project.

The duo join the already announced David Oyelowo (Selma), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Concussion), John Krasinski (13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi), Elizabeth Debicki (The Night Manager) and Daniel Bruhl (Captain America: Civil War) in the film, which is being directed by Julius Onah (The Girl is in Trouble) .

According to THR, the film follows the crew of “a space station who find themselves alone after a scientific experiment causes Earth to disappear. When a space shuttle appears, the space station crew must determine if those aboard are friend or foe.”

God Particle is slated for release on February 24th 2017.
