Marvel has 60-episode TV package in the works, new clip from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

October 15, 2013 by admin

With Marvel having taken its first step into live-action television last month with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., there’s already been plenty of talk about the future of the Cinematic Universe on the small screen; an Agent Carter series has been rumoured, while Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb confirmed at the New York Comic Con that the studio plans to expand its TV output.

Well, it seems the studio is wasting little time, with Deadline revealing that Marvel is putting together a 60-episode package of four drama series and a miniseries which is being earmarked for the VOD / cable market, with Netflix, Amazon and WGN America said to be interested. It’s unclear at this point what any of the projects are, or whether they include the prospective Agent Carter series, with Marvel said to have everyone involved bound by strict nondisclosure agreements. So, expect the usual rumour-mongering sites to have a field day with this one over the coming weeks.

In the meantime here’s a new 3-minute clip from tonight’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.:
