Michael Giacchino to score the Jurassic World sequel

Fresh from his work on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Michael Giacchino has confirmed to THR that he’s set to return to the Jurassic Park franchise and will compose the score for director J.A. Bayona’s hotly-anticipated Jurassic World sequel.

Jurassic World 2 becomes the latest high profile movie on Giacchino’s slate; next year, he has Colin Trevorrow’s The Book of Henry, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and 20th Century Fox’s War for the Planet of the Apes, while he’ll also be continuing his association with Disney on 2018’s The Incredibles 2.

Jurassic World 2 is set for release on June 22nd, 2018 and will see Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprising their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing alongside new additions Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Rafe Spall (Black Mirror) and Justice Smith (The Get Down).
