New Mortal Empires joins the maps of Total War: Warhammer 1 and 2

October 20, 2017 by Andrew Newton

On the 26th October something truly epic is coming to fans of Total War: Warhammer 1 and 2.  Creative assembly have announced that the Mortal Empires expansion will be arriving FREE for owners of both games.  This expansion will deliver a whole new campaign that joins together both the New World and Old World maps together.  Watch the new trailer below to see the bigger picture…

Players who own both Total War: Warhammer games will have access to an epic scale campaign that will take players from the Old World to the New but there is so much more included than just the two maps being stitched together.  In total Mortal Empires will include 117 starting factions, 295 settlements and up to 35 Legendary Lords to choose from.

Legendary Lords and races from both games as well as from any DLC owned will also be able to be played throughout this new campaign which will provide an insane amount of hours gameplay to keep players busy.

Many of the features from Warhammer II’s Eye of the Vortex campaign have been incorporated into Mortal Empires including: rogue armies, ranged breath attacks for all dragons, treasure hunting, encounters at sea, storms, shallows and reefs, 8 and 10-slot cities, climate suitability mechanics and a whole host of UI refinements and improvements.

Visit the Steam page for Mortal Empires and get ready for some grand scale campaigning on the 26th October.
