Bryan Singer announces X-Men: Apocalypse casting is underway

October 11, 2014 by Thomas Roach

Casting on 20th Century Fox’s mutant sequel X-Men: Apocalyse has begun according to Bryan Singer on his Instagram. He revealed the following image which shows a room with empty chairs and the message: ‘The glamorous casting process begins! #XmenApocalypse’…

James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Hugh Jackman are all confirmed to reprise their roles in X-Men: Apocalypse, but Singer will be looking for new actors to portray Cyclops, Jean and Storm, who will be reintroduced into the series as younger versions.

X-Men: Apocalypse was announced last year by Bryan Singer, who has now been confirmed as director of the project. Writer-producer Simon Kinberg has also recently spoken about Apocalypse whilst promoting the DVD and Blu-Ray release of X-Men: Days of Future Past, describing it as “the close of a trilogy” for the X-Men: First Class characters.

X-Men Apocalypse is set for release May 19th, 2016. Which actors would you like to see appearing in the film? Let us know
