Marvel Studios has released the first teaser trailer for Thunderbolts*, a new team made up of anti-heroes and former super villains with Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova/Black Widow and Stebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier leading the team. Watch the teaser below…
Little is known about the plot of the film. The formation of this team has been built up through the last few MCU films and TV series as Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine has been recruiting a number of morally grey or villainous characters as a new answer to the Avengers’ absence with the goal of answering directly to the US government.
Thunderbolts* will star MCU veterans Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross. Also starring is Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick) as The Sentry and Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers) in an undisclosed role.
Thunderbolts* is directed by Jake Schreier (Paper Towns) from a script written by Eric Pearson (Black Widow).
Thunderbolts* will be released May 2nd, 2025.
