Daredevil showrunner is “very hopeful” for season 4 renewal

October 23, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Erik Oleson, the new showrunner for Daredevil season three, is “very hopeful” that the show will be picked up for a fourth season.

It’s fair to say that season three of Daredevil is going down a treat with fans, with many enjoying its back to basics approach and compelling story. However, Netflix has very recently cancelled both Iron Fist and Luke Cage, so where does this leave Daredevil?

Well, according to new showrunner Erik Oleson, things are looking good for a fourth season, telling EW in an interview: “I can tell you that I’m very hopeful to go do a season 4… There has not yet been any kind of an official pick-up, but if there is, I’m very hopeful that I will be a part of it.”

With the reception fans are giving season three, it’s probably fair to assume that Netflix would be interested in having Oleson back for a fourth season, should it be picked up. Would like to see Daredevil return for another instalment?

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world or embracing his destiny as a hero.

Season three of Daredevil sees Charlie Cox (Matt Murdoch/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin) all returning to the cast alongside new additions Joanne Whalley (Wolf Hall) as Sister Maggie and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) as Bullseye. It is set to arrive on Netflix on October 19th.
